Hamlet
by William Shakespeare- Main Stage Series
February 25th - March 6th

The season opens with one of the greatest plays ever written. With its action-packed plot featuring revenge, intrigue, a ghost, a moving love story, lots of murder, and more than a little comedy, Hamlet has thrilled audiences for more than 400 years. With one of Lancaster County’s best actors, Timothy Riggs (EPAC’s Frozen, The Pillowman, The Fifth of July), as the idealistic prince unable to accept the status quo, Hamlet is certain to be one of the most exciting events of the local theatre season.

 

Seussical Jr
Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty; Music by Stephen Flaherty; Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens - Family Series
March 26th - April 3rd

All your favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and the Whos of Whoville, are part of this magical musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Lucky Stiff, Once on This Island). Connecting the tales is Jojo, a young man who’s a “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks!” As part of EPAC’s Family Season, this joyous Kids for Kids production will enchant children, adults, and all who love Seuss.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Music and Lyrics by William Finn; Book by Rachel Sheinki -Fringe Series
April 29th - May 8th

A musical about a spelling bee? What a strange idea! But this outrageously funny musical about six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime is certain to charm and delight you just as it charmed and delighted the New York critics and the Broadway audiences who flocked to it for three years.

 

The Lady in Question

June 3rd - 12th

EPAC proudly brings you this loving satire of Hollywood’s World War II romantic thrillers that starred impossibly beautiful women like Norma Shearer, Greer Garson, and Joan Crawford. The Lady in Question will star EPAC’s own impossibly beautiful Edward R. Fernandez as Gertrude Garnet, the most glamorous concert pianist on the international stage. On tour in Bavaria in 1940, Gertrude’s colossal self-absorption is challenged when a handsome American professor asks for her help rescuing his mother from a Nazi prison.

Man of la Mancha

The beloved musical about the transformative power of art returns to EPAC. This classic of the American theatre, set in 16th-century Spain, brings together the tale of the mad knight Don Quixote with the story of his creator, Miguel de Cervantes. Man of La Mancha has enthralled audiences around the world for more than 40 years with its thrilling music, including “The Impossible Dream,” its powerful, dramatic story and its unforgettable characters.

Grey Gardens

September 30th - October 9th

Big Edie and Little Edie Beale — Jackie Kennedy’s aunt and cousin — became notorious in 1971 when it was discovered that the once-elegant East Hampton mansion in which they lived was now a dilapidated wreck, overrun with cats and raccoons, along with a five-foot mountain of empty cans in the dining room. What had happened to two of the brightest names in the Social Register? Based on the famous Grey Gardens documentary about the two Edies (who were also the subjects of the Emmy-winning HBO movie), this hilarious and devastating musical brings the ladies back to outrageous and glorious life.
